Diode Laser Treatments

IMPORTANT: Every client (during their Assessment) must undergo a “patch test” prior to their 1st diode laser treatment. The purpose of a patch test is to determine the client’s skin’s tolerance to the treatment, before treatment begins. Please note that first treatment will not take place on the same day.

• Skin lesions, active inflammation, or infections in the treatment area
• Drug-induced photosensitivity, especially in clients using Isotretinoin (Accutane) or Tretinoin (Retin-A)
• Recently tanned skin (3 weeks or less before the treatment)
• Tattoos or permanent make-up in the treatment area
• Pacemaker, defibrillator, or other electronic implant device
• Pregnancy
• Recurrent Herpes Simplex
• Anti-coagulant therapy
• Auto-immune diseases, such as cutaneous lupus
• Immuno-supressive diseases or usage of immuno-supressive medications
• Unmanaged diabetes or thyroid conditions
• Raised moles
• Epilepsy
• Psoriasis
• Thrombosis (blood clots)
• Cancer (or history of), in particular malignant skin cancers or pre-cancerous lesions
• Any other clinical condition considered inappropriate as per the clinician’s discretion
