Electrolysis for Teens & Adolescents

A lifetime of exciting adventures await you!
Puberty is one of the most significant rites of passage in a young person’s life. It marks the transition from childhood to young adulthood, and with it comes intense hormonal changes. You may grow hair in places that you don’t like. For girls, you may grow upper lip hair that makes you feel like you have a moustache. For boys, you may grow thick eyebrows that make you feel like you have a pronounced unibrow. Don’t be embarrassed! This hair may be unwanted, but it is completely normal.
If you are a young person reading this, talk to your parents or a trusted adult who cares about your well-being. If you’re a parent or guardian, finding a certified professional electrologist (CPE) to assess your child’s unwanted hair problem can give them a permanent solution rather than a lifetime of using temporary methods (tweezing, shaving, threading, depilatory creams, waxing, bleaching, & abrasives.

How Long Does It Take?
Electrolysis is the only permanent method of hair removal recognized by the FDA and Medical Society. All hairs in the area need the succession of treatments to destroy hairs permanently. Completion time varies with each individual depending on the coarseness of the hair, the number of hairs to be removed, and whether or not temporary methods were previously used.

At Caldwell Place Clinic, the following areas are available for permanent hair removal:
